City of Owingsville-Bath Co. Sports Complex
..

On ______ ground was broken on what would be one of Bath County's crowning achievements. The construction process would be put off until equipment moved in on _______ while we secured financial backing and finalized construction plans. The first set of plans did not include the girls sofball / little league field until the general contractor, Stuart Cuadill, made a few changes and found a way to include the addition.

In the short history of the complex, it has hosted numerous tournaments and was in the running to host various state tournaments at differing levels.

The complex hosts:

2 baseball / softball fields, both with block dugouts and Musco's green friendly light system

Regulation sized soccer field with Musco's green friendly light system

Concession / restroom facilities, state of the art press box, officals dressing facility and lounge, commission office

Scenic walking trail measuring 0.4 miles encompassing the parks

Thanks to the generosity of Wendell McClurg and john Huber of H&M Investments, the complex was made possible and as of June 2008 H&M Investments has graciously agreed to donate 5 additional acres adjacent to the current property owned by the commission. Plans for the new property include 2 little league fields, youth football field, pavilion, large playground, additional parking, and an extension of the current walking trail.

While the complex is open to the public, it is highly encouraged that you schedule in advance to avoid any conflicting events. Visit the Contact Us page to schedule you practice or event.
